The Team Format is an exciting way to experience the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) with a twist, designed for two-player teams. Players team up with a partner, strategizing and battling side by side while still following most standard rules of the game. The tournament allows for a unique cooperative experience, as each team is responsible for managing two lanes of play in a 2v2 setting.

In this format, each player has their own deck and plays in their respective lane, but they can also interact with cards placed in the center lane. The game follows normal Pokémon TCG rules with key modifications: both players’ turns occur simultaneously, and actions like attacking, drawing, and resolving special conditions are done at the same time. Team members must work together to take control of the center lane and help each other manage their Prize cards, all while adhering to new rules regarding how cards can affect different lanes.

How to Register: Teams must register under the name of their team captain, who will be the main point of contact for the tournament. Each team consists of two players, and the captain is responsible for ensuring that both players are registered and that their decks are properly prepared. Only ONE registration per team.

The format encourages teamwork, as success depends on both players coordinating their strategies, managing their respective lanes, and making the best use of the shared center lane. Only the first team to take 9 out of their 12 Prize cards will claim victory.
